We have just completed a fiber optic project at a commercial building in Ann Arbor. The customer reached out to us after relocating their headquarters. Upon moving in, they quickly realized that the two wings of the building are not interconnected with fiber. In the past this building had been occupied by different companies.
One IT room exists for wing A and another IT room for wing B. Each with their own dedicated service from the internet vendor. One of the challenges in completing the project was that there was no existing path between the two. The total distance between the two rooms is over 800 feet.
We decided to use an armoured plenum 12 count fiber optic cable for the interconnection. There is a pop ceiling between the two rooms which is where we located the new cabling. The fiber cabling is very neatly tucked into the corner above the ceiling. And as a result the wire is nearly invisible.
From the moment we took the call to the finish of the project took less than a week. The customer is left extremely pleased with the performance of their internet and in record time.
